Nigel Spink - 2016 Winner

Challambi Charolais is situated in Tooma, NSW, in the Upper Murray, 25km from Corryong.

The stud was founded in 2011 by purchasing embryos from Glenlea and Palgrove cows, followed by the purchase of heifers from Glenlea and Rangan Park.

The embryo program continues to rapidly build pure bred numbers. AI is used to build quality bloodlines within the herd.

Current sires used include Palgrove Dover, LT Venture, Cedardal Zeal and Winchester Maximus producing desired traits of low birth weight, early growth and polled with softness. Cattle are birthweight, 200d, 400d, fat and EMA recorded with Breedplan. Bulls are vet checked and vaccinated.
